At Tokyo Auto Salon this year, Option Magazine sponsored a stand featuring a selection of RB26 powered Nissan Skyline GTRs to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the infamous engine. Thirteen R32, R33 and R34 GTR's from top tuners were selected featuring some of the most famous GTR's to ever come out of Japan.
The entire area was inundated with enthusiasts throughout the show, read more for a unique selection of Japan's top tuned GTRs!
Admix807 R33 GTR
The Admix Racing workshop presented the beautiful midnight purple R33 GTR with twin Trust T517Z turbo's and classic Advan TCII 18" wheels with Advan Neova tires. Featuring a JUN increased 2.7L capacity fully built engine, the GTR produces 630ps when running 1.5kg/cm2 boost through the two Greddy turbos. The increased capacity and twin turbo setup ensures the BCNR33 is responsive through to the 8500RPM redline.

Midori R34 GTR
The Midori R34 GTR, well known with the distinctive green TE37 wheels has been modified for circuit response and lap times. Most highly tuned GTR's use Greddy or HKS turbo's, but Midori has employed two low mount Tomei Arms B9046 turbo's that generate 1.5kg/cm of boost. The internals have been strengthened and capacity increased through the use of a HKS capacity upgrade kit to 2771cc and all combine to generate 550ps and enable 9000RPM.
Beyond the performance, the striking appearance of the green wheels and accents ensure it is never missed in the crowd.

Jing R34 GTR
The Jing R34 GTR has been slightly modified with Tomei and Reimax internals and two low mount HKS GT-SS turbo's. Generating 1.3kg/cm2 of boost and producing 467ps this GTR has been perfectly tuned for the street. Volk Racing CE28N wheels cover Brembo Monoblock brakes and Ohlins DFV suspension.
The concept from Jing was to retain the standard engine and easy maintenance and combine it with improved power, torque and appearance. While mildly modified, this R34 looked great.

Cockpit Wako R34 GTR
The Cockpit Wako R34 GTR was also mildly modified for performance. However the exterior was extensively modified with gullwing doors, bright Cockpit decals, Nismo wheel flares and aggressive front lip with canards.
Showcasing the workshops modification prowess, the GTR features a host of Nismo, Greddy, Prodrive, Trust and With parts. The engine internals are relatively standard with a pair of Nismo R-1 turbos generating 1.2kg/cm2 and powering the RB26 to 500ps at 6000RPM.

Auto Gallery Yokohama R32 GTR
Whenever you see a R32 GTR at an Auto Salon in Japan, you know its going to be something special, they are becoming less common. The Auto Gallery Yokohama R32 is no exception, featuring a fully build HKS 2.8L kit, HKS V-CAM controlled by the HKS F-CON. Combined with a Greddy T51SPL high mount single turbo, the GTR generates a huge 750ps of power at 7500RPM.
But perhaps the most unique part of the build is under the hood, red Nissan RB20 cam covers cover the fury inside and really grab your attention as you walk past. Checkout the AGY website details too, full build details from the chassis up, a real track monster.

Abflug Concept R33 GTR
The Abflug R33 GTR was centre stage with a massive body kit with flared guards and monster deep dish wheels. This Abflug body kit style is showing its age and not to everyones taste, the car was built in the nineties and could be seen out on the Wangan.
A real blast from the past and still has the performance to back it up, 510ps at 7,500RPM generated from twin Nismo N1 turbos. The GTR has been measured running at 305km/h and is capable of a 11.0 second quarter mile.

Garage Saurus Drag-RII R32 GTR
The most well known of the GTR's displayed, the Garage Saurus R32 GTR in bright orange. Compared to the Abflug R33 and R34's that surrounded the legend, the R32 appeared quite small but made up for it in every other department.
A Trust upgrade kit increases capacity to 2732cc and i combined with a T88 turbo kit to generate 1050ps @ 8100RPM. The monster power enables the GTR to travel over 350km/h, in drag trim cover the quarter mile in 8.41 seconds and when setup for the circuit has lapped Tsukuba in 56.3 seconds. A legend among GTR's.

MCR R34 GTR
The bright red Matchless Crowd Racing R34 GTR was centre stage of the RB26 area, featuring another stroker kit bringing capacity to 2771cc based on a Nismo GT Block. Sporting two of HKS latest GT-RS turbo's, the RB26 generates a very responsive 625ps at almost 7,000RPM. Famous for togue racing with Keiichi Tsuchiya amongst others, the MCR GTR also features Eneki GTC01 whees with Advan Neova AD08 tires.

Attkd R34 GTR
The Attkd R34 GTR appears relatively sedate from the outside with an all-white look, from wheels to rear wing. However, the entire car has been tuned for circuit performance, proven by a 58.672 seconds laptime at Tsukuba.
This RB26 features the HKS RB28 Kit, combined with twin HKS GT2530 turbos, camshafts and the F-CON V Pro, all combining to ensure ultimate response and power of 620ps @ 6900RPM.

Reverse R32 GTR
The last of 3 R32 GTR's in the stand, the Reverse demo car stands out with bright orange wheels and decals. Developing over 650ps with capacity increased to 2771cc and twin low mount HKS GT2530 turbos.
Showcasing a range of Reverse parts, the GTR has recorded a laptime around Tsukuba of 1 minute 0 seconds in 2009. We look forward to continued tuning of this GTR, keeping the R32 alive in competition!

Fujimura Auto Rocket Dancer R34 GTR
The Fujimura Auto Rocker Dancer R34 GTR stands out amongst white with bright yellow paint and bronze Rays SE37K wheels. The differences don't end there either, the GTR runs a single high mount HKS T04Z turbo and more orthodox HKS engine internals. Built back in 2003 this Rocket Dancer has set a 1 minute and 1 second laptime at Tsukuba.

Dandy R34 GT-R
Dandy is better known for their Rotary Rocket Mazda FC3S competitor at the Bonneville salt flats, but they also brought out this last minute R34 GTR for the show. Mildly modified, the GTR generates 420PS using a host of HKS parts, including the new EVC5, Camshafts and the F-CON iS.

PentRoof ISD R34GT-R
Pentroof, possibly best known recently for their high power Z32 Fairlady, but the workshops tuning abilities spread much further.
The Pentroof R34 GTR has been built for big power, the single high mount Trust T78-33D turbo combines with the HKS forged pistons and internals to generate 650ps at a healthy 7200RPM. A range of HKS, Trust, Sard Cusco, and Nismo parts have been combined to ensure strength and durability when generating high levels of boost from the huge turbo.
Finished with black TE37 wheels, Advan Neova AD08 tires and huge 6 Pot Brembo brakes on 380mm callipers, this GTR has been built for the power of the mighty RB26.

And that concludes the RB26 Tuning World stand at Tokyo Auto Salon 2010. The 13 GTR's were fantastic viewing and demanded a lot of attention, we look forward to more GTR tuning with a RB26 revival in recent months for the 20th Anniversary.
