Tokyo Auto Salon is almost as famous for the campaign girls as the cars. Tolerating many elbows and crowds that were a little too close for comfort, we managed to catch a few photos for our everyone following us at Nengun.
The C-West girls were a definite crowd favorite and took some work to get a photo!
Many manufacturers take the opportunity to advertise and release new parts and future parts at Tokyo Auto Salon and its certainly one of the highlights for us at Nengun.
We captured a selection of our favorite parts and thought it might be something our parts loving customers would enjoy! To start, the HKS R35 GTR turbo kit sitting on custom cast manifolds, simply a masterpiece.
Tokyo Auto Salon 2011 gave the D1GP organizers a chance to prove the series is continuing despite the controversy, the drift demonstration proceeded as scheduled.
Crowd favorite Taniguchi was on-board as a guest judge and almost all of the top drivers were on-track for a bit of fun. It won't be a few months until the dust settles and we can see who is competing in which series.
We made the trip out to Tokyo Auto Salon in mid-January this year, hopes high for the largest aftermarket car show of the year. To start with some photos of the various R35 GTR's is only fitting as they dominated the halls with no equal in quantity or quality.
The dedicated R35 GTR area of the show featured a selection of the top GTR's in Japan. President of Mine's Michizo Niikura was on the floor happy to answer any questions regarding their latest 2011 model R35 GT-R already tuned to a staggering 800ps.
Tomorrow we are heading to Makuhari Messe for one of the biggest events of the year, Tokyo Auto Salon 2011.

The ongoing rivals, the Subaru Impreza and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution were in force at Tokyo Auto Salon with over 25 cars throughout the halls.
Japanese tuners have adopted the Evo X and they now easily outnumber all of the other models. A number of GRB Impreza's were in attendance, but they don't seem be getting the same amount of attention as the Evo these days.

The Nissan GTRs and Fairlady Zs were out in force at Tokyo Auto Salon 2010 from all the top tuners. We managed to battle through the crowds and get a few photos.
The GTR's ranged from the new Silver Wolf body kit from Tommykaira to the circuit focused HKS GT600. The 350Z's are becoming less common with the 370Z's picking up most of the attention, our favourite being the Amuse 370 Vestito kit.
