The last two rounds of Battle Evome, saw Tomohiko Suzuki stamp his authority on the event, taking out first place at all 4 rounds even in dramatic weather conditions.
Time Attack at Tsukuba has been dominated by the Evo, GTR and RX7 in the past, but the Scorch S15 Silvia has a real chance of dipping down into record 54 second in the future, look out Cyber Evo!
Taking out the win for the 3rd time in a row, with an incredible 56.212 second lap time, Tomohiko Suzuki's Scorch Nissan Silvia S15. He mentions on his blog, even on used tires he was lapping in the 57 second range. A quick photo he took prior to the event.
Also on Tomohiko Suzuki's blog, the S15 being tuned prior to Round 3, making over 700 horsepower!
In 2nd was the almost anonymous white Unlimited Works Evo 6 CP9A with a fast 58.216 lap time. Finishing with the 3rd best time of 58.581 seconds was the Exceed Moat S14 Silvia, with a video on Youtube with full Racepak telemetry in-car!
Round 4 - February 14th
The final round of this years Battle Evome series was unfortunately heavily weather affected, snow the previous day and thick fog kept many of the competitors in the pits. Tomohiko Suzuki's Nissan Silvia S15 made a clean sweep of all 4 events, winning the final event with a relatively slow 59.297 seconds in terrible conditions.
The Varis CyberEvo 5 came in 2nd with 59.412 and looked great on the track as always.
The Arios Okuyama RX7 almost broke the 1 minute barrier with 1:00:035.
Check out the weather from the in-car video of the TiRacing R33 GTR (found by RE-Extreme), this lap measured 1:04.7 seconds, the fastest for the day was 1:02.601 and 16th place.
