With all of the excitement of Tokyo Auto Salon, we missed the results of the latest round of Battle Evome. We thought some of our readers would be interested in the time attack series held at the famed Tsukuba Circuit primarily for privateers and amateur drivers.
The round consists of time attack and a circuit race, imagine seeing all these cars racing on the grid together! Will definitely have to get to a round at Tsukuba this year!
Round 2 was held on the 17th of January and produced some some amazing results! Read more for a full rundown of the results.
Fastest Lap Time of the Day - Tomohiko Suzuki's Nissan Silvia S15
Nissan - Silvia - S15 - SR20DET
Power of ~ 630ps and weighs ~ 1039kg running a Blitz K27 turbo
Absolutely amazing to see a privateer building his own S15 up to a lap time in the 55 second range! As well as posting the fastest laptime, the S15 also won the following race ahead of Maru's RX7.
The Nissan S15 looks amazing and has been progressively developed for faster lap times. Check the blog for the ongoing development, fantastic ingenuity and real dedication.
2nd - Maru's R Magic Mazda RX7 FD3S
Mazda - RX7 - FD3S
Power of ~ 500ps running a T04Z turbo
Fastest Laptime 57.134 seconds
R Magic parts are also available from Nengun Performance
So close to the 56 second range! The R-Magic built RX7 is running a T04Z turbo and producing near 500ps. Maru swapped between two sets of wheels for the event, looks to be Rays RE30's and Enkei GTC's, as you can see in the photos. Look forward to see if Maru can knock off the S15 for the fastest time next round!
The Kyushu Boys NSX competes with a naturally aspirated engine producing only 390hp but achieved a momentous 57.578 second laptime. Based in Fukuoka (like us!) Kyushu, the NSX is more regularly driven out at the Autopolis circuit. This brings it very close to the naturally aspirated record holder, amazing for a privateer car not backed by a huge tuning house like ASM. We anxiously wait to see how the NSX does at the next round!
